Have you ever had a great idea but the thought of starting the process made you so overwhelmed that you completely forgot about the idea? This is where so many business owners find themselves. Trust me, I’ve been there. It’s so easy to think and dream and brainstorm but it when it comes to taking actionable steps towards making your idea a reality that’s where a lot of us get stuck.
This is probably the biggest area I find my clients stumbling in. Most of AssistantSide’s clients are in a creative industry. Lots of creative minds have no problem brainstorming and coming up with new ideas, goals, or aspirations.
Many fall into 2 different categories when it comes to the fear of starting.
- The fear of getting bogged down in the little minute details of it all.
- Focusing too much on the big picture product, but not interested in ironing out the small critical elements to the idea.
How to start and make your ideas a reality
You’ll be surprised just how far you get when you devote time to starting one of your ideas. Starting could mean simply carving out five minutes of time in your calendar to devote to fostering and implementing one of your ideas. In just those five minutes you can break the cycle of not starting by simply giving yourself grace and a space to actually start.
Maybe you don’t need to start your idea at all. What if you took some time to offload that task or idea to somebody else? Allowing somebody to come in and help you such as a virtual assistant project manager or business manager might just be the one thing that you need to get your ideas off the ground and running. Having somebody else start your idea could mean a lot of things. It could mean that it frees up time for you to work on other things in your business. It could mean making more of your ideas a reality. It could mean generating more revenue for you because you are getting more done without doing anything yourself.
